I grew up in South Korea. I graduated SungKyunKwan University with a B.A. in Electrical Engineering and Biology. After I obtained bachelor’s degree, I started the master’s course in Samsung Advanced Institute for Health Sciences & Technology in SungKyunKwan University. I mainly studied pharmacogenomics. I studied the association between major depressive disorder patients’ antidepressant response and their genetic information. After I obtained master’s degree, I joined the lab of molecular pathology in the College of Pharmacy in Seoul National University as a research Associate. In 2016, I joined GCDB program in Indiana University. After 3 lab rotations, I finally joined Zentner lab and I’m pretty excited for a new research journey! I’m interested in gene expression regulation and NGS data analysis.

I’m a huge fan of chamber music. When I’m not in the lab, you can find me easily at Auer hall. If there is no concert, I usually go to SRSC for exercise, watch fun TV shows, or play the musical instruments.
